Four kinds of hotel that have almost nothing in common — except that in each one, the room itself is the reason you went.

Wild Social Dreams is an index, not a guide to any one country. It covers sixteen working hotels across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia, sorted into four categories and written up as prose rather than spec sheets. No ratings, no reviews, no booking engine — just a clear account of what each property is and what staying there is actually like.

How the entries are written

Character before numbers

Each write-up describes setting, what distinguishes the property and what a stay feels like. Room counts and prices move; the character of a building tends not to.

Four to a category

Every category carries exactly four hotels. The point is a comparable set you can read end to end in a few minutes, not an exhaustive directory.

Independent

We take no commission and hold no relationship with any hotel listed. Nothing here is sponsored and nothing can be bought onto the site.
